SL11 You're too smart for your own good

Do this insad to win at life

Someone out there is half as smart as you are, but 100 times more successful.

Why?

They’re too busy doing to doubt themselves like you do.

Smart people like you love to think because they’re good at it.

Problem is, too much thinking and not enough doing leaves you stuck in yesterday.

Do you know that famous Parisian sculpture, The Thinker?

Guess who made it?

Not the thinker.

It was a doer, Auguste Rodin.

My point isn’t “think less and do more.”

Not at all.

It’s this: change what you think and the quality of what you do.

Here’s what I mean:

You’re about to meet someone important, standing at the door.

You’re nervous, so you call a friend fro support, and what do they say?

The dreaded three words of death:

“Just be yourself.”

What does that even mean?

Some people spend their lives trying to be someone they’re not.

It brings trouble, anxiety, and worry.

They wear a mask to be liked, then stress that people like the mask, not them.

Here’s the key: the quality of your thoughts shapes the quality of your life.

If you’re always thinking about who you should be to get what you want, you’ll never win.

People can tell when you’re faking it.

And even if you succeed, it’s not you who wins—it’s a stranger you’ve created.

Lean into who you are.

Get clear on what you want and be honest about it.

Feed your mind thoughts that align with your true self.

That’s when your actions start to shine.

To my overthinkers:

It’s tempting to plan endlessly, watch motivational videos, or read books.

But you’ve got to put yourself out there.

Get the reps in.

Fail.

Fail again.

Fail until you succeed.

After each rep, then think: what went well, what can I change?

Progress is an infinite sandwich of experience and learning, stacked up to your goal.

So keep stackin’

And see you next week, legend.

Yours,

Diego
