SL4: Life’s a Game – Here’s How to Play It

A proven way to hit your goals

I’ve stumbled on something that’s got me fired up.

It’s not just another productivity trick or motivational fluff.

It’s a way to make your daily grind feel like a game you want to play.

And I’m putting it to the test myself, out in the open, so you can see it work.

You know those games that hook you so hard you can’t look away?

They’re built to keep you locked in.

Clear rules, rewards, progress bars, and that sweet rush when you level up.

Why can’t life feel that way?

Spoiler: It can.

And I’m going to show you how to make it happen.

Here’s the deal: I’m breaking life into four “mini-games” – Health, Wealth, Relationships, and Happiness.

Each has its own rules, challenges, and wins.

My challenge?

Design my days so I’m stoked to jump out of bed and play.

I want you to try it too.

Let’s make this real.

Step 1: Picture Your Perfect Day

Close your eyes.

It’s five years from now.

What’s your morning like?

Where are you?

Who’s with you?

What’s the vibe?

Write it down.

This is your North Star.

Step 2: Pick a Mini-Game

Let’s say you choose Health.

Jot down three ways being stronger, more energized, or moving better gets you closer to that perfect day.

Example: If you wake up feeling like a million bucks, full of energy, that’s Health doing its job.

That’s your big goal.

Step 3: Set Milestones

Take one Health goal (like “feel energized every morning”).

Break it into three wins for the next 3, 6, and 12 months.

Make them specific.

Example: “By month 3, I’m sleeping 7.5 hours a night, five nights a week.”

Then plan a small celebration for each – maybe a killer smoothie or a new workout playlist.

Step 4: Build Habits

Results come from habits, not willpower.

Set up systems to make your goal stupid-easy.

Example: Set a 9 PM phone alarm to start your wind-down routine so you’re in bed on time.

Step 5: Track It

You can’t improve what you don’t measure.

Check in weekly.

Example: Use a sleep app to track your 7.5-hour nights.

Every Sunday, count how many days you hit the mark.

Aim for 5/7.

At the end of the month, see how many “good weeks” you stacked up.

That’s the playbook.

I’m doing this right now, and in the next Strength Legends issue, I’ll share my own perfect day, goals, and milestones.

You’ll see exactly how I’m gamifying my life to get results.

Want in?

Reply to this email and tell me one mini-game you’re picking (Health, Wealth, Relationships, or Happiness) and what your perfect day looks like.

I’ll send you a quick tip to kickstart your progress.

Let’s make life a game worth playing,

Diego
