SL6: Why You Keep Falling Short, And How to Stop

Three tips to stop feeling like you're running in place

Ever feel like you’re fighting a losing battle inside your own head?

That’s where those “inner demons” come from, the ones that keep you stuck.

You want to change, but something always pulls you back.

There’s comfort in staying where you are, even if it’s not where you want to be.

That’s why every time you make progress, you slip back into old patterns.

You lose 20 pounds with hard work, only to gain it back in a week of binge-eating.

You start feeling hopeful with someone new, then it all falls apart.

You save a little money, and bam! The car breaks down.

It’s always something, isn’t it?

Sometimes, it’s self-sabotage.

Other times, it feels like the universe is against you.

“Man makes plans, and God laughs,” they say.

So why does this keep happening?

Are you doomed to stay stuck, always so close to the life you want but never reaching it?

That kind of thinking traps you, making the problem feel impossible to solve.

You can’t fix a broken cycle with the same mind that created it.

How do you break free when those demons drag you back to old habits and thoughts?

That’s spiritual warfare, my friend.

It’s the constant tug-of-war between who you are and who you could be.

The battlefield is your mind, and you’re in the fight every day.

I know it feels like you’re losing, but you can turn this around.

There are three areas where you’re slipping, and they’re keeping you stuck.

Take control of these, and you’ll start winning the battle.

Here’s your plan to fight back:

1. Your thoughts. You’re letting negative thoughts run wild without noticing.

You think you’re aware, but those quiet doubts are calling the shots.

Start paying attention.

Write down one thought that’s dragging you down.

2. Your words. The things you say, even as jokes, shape how you see yourself.

Those little “I’m such a mess” comments build a reality you start to believe.

Catch one phrase you use that hurts you.

Stop saying it, starting today.

3. Your body. You can’t feel strong when you’re running on empty.

You might think you’re fine, but years of junk food and bad sleep are weighing you down.

Pick one habit—like late-night snacking or skipping workouts—and change it.

You might say, “I’m doing okay.”

But if you’re still stuck, you’re not where you could be.

I’m saying this because I care about you.

Take charge of your thoughts, words, and body.
